Talented People around Ledbury

Ledbury and the surrounding areas are full of talented people. I absolutely love finding these people and it’s even better when I get to photograph them. Being a relatively small town, you think you know about most businesses and enterprises. But there’s so much more going on around Ledbury and the surrounding counties.

Alex Attwood

Recently, I was contacted by a local musician and composer Alex Attwood (www.alexattwood.com). Alex lives just outside Ledbury and has a studio in his beautiful home. Looking to upgrade his website, Alex contacted me for some new photos. I’m very lucky to be regularly recommended by past clients. I’m very grateful for any recommendation and to know that someone thinks of you when they’re asked for a photographer in Ledbury is quite an honour.

I spent half a day with Alex in his home studio and we came out with some cracking images, capturing the love Alex has for his work, as well has his quirkier side!

Verity Howard

At the end of August I went over to Hereford to shoot for a very talented ceramic artist, Verity Howard (www.verityhowardceramics.com). I first met Verity when she came to one of our open studio events in Ledbury. Verity has a studio space at the Art Site 3 complex in Hereford (www.artsite3.com), which houses a number of local artists.

Verity has recently exhibited at Canwood Gallery and is hoping to apply to exhibit at more prestigious locations around the country. So she asked me to come in for half a day and photograph some of her new work. It was a tight squeeze setting up a photography studio in her studio space, but we made it work! I love a challenge like this anyway, working out solutions to get the results we wanted.

For me, this is one of the best aspects of being a photographer. I love living in Ledbury and I’m constantly surprised by who is living here and nearby.
